Educational Projects

	JAMES RUSSELL LOWELL ELEMENTARY IPS# 51 Indianapolis, Indiana Construction Management Services were provided for this new elementary school. Built on the site of the original James Russell Lowell Elementary School # 51, this school consists of 4 sections, totaling 88,000 square feet, extensive site work and a new park area for the City of Indianapolis. The project also included the relocation of Olney Street.
	EFFIE ELLIS DAYCARE CENTER Chicago, Illinois Powers & Sons provided General Construction Services for this 95,000 square foot, two story early care facility in the Bronzeville Community. This center features a state of the art, play-based and child centered program and serves a key role in strengthening networks around issues that impact children and families.
	DANIEL HALE WILLIAMS ELEMENTARY Gary, Indiana General Contracting Services were provided for this 95,000 square foot, two story elementary school. This building was designed with stone accents and stone window jambs along with stone and translucent canopy/skylight entrance. The facility includes state of the art systems inclusive of, heated floors and a stage with theatrical lighting and sound system.
	ARSENAL TECHNICAL HIGH SCHOOL Indianapolis, Indiana Comprehensive Construction Management Services were provided during pre-construction and construction phase services for this 44,770 square foot building. Renovation of this historic structure required extensive interior demolition, as well as new mechanical and electrical systems. This project was completed on time and within budget.
	HALES FRANCISCAN HIGH SCHOOL Chicago, Illinois Design Build Services were provided for this multi phase infrastructure modernization and conversion of a 120,000 square foot existing school facility. The exterior envelope underwent a comprehensive modernization as will with masonry repairs, new roofing components and new thermally broken windows, doors and storefront system.
	WILLARD J. GAMBOLD MIDDLE SCHOOL IPS #508 Indianapolis, Indiana Powers & Sons provided Construction Management Services for this seven phase renovation and addition of this existing middle school, which was occupied during construction. Gambold was approximately 112,000 sq. ft. of existing space. This project consisted of two additions (3,500 sq. ft.) to the main entry of the school which included a new stair tower and elevator.
